Jio Wi-Fi Mesh Router Surfaces Online With Price Details Ahead of Official Launch

Details about a Jio Wi-Fi Mesh router, including its purported price and dimensions, have emerged online. This development coincides with Jio’s testing of a mesh network-based service in India. The router in question appears to be designed by Neolync Electronics, an electronics manufacturer based in Karnataka. It is expected to work in conjunction with separate mesh nodes to extend Internet coverage. JioFiber customers may soon have access to new broadband plans that incorporate this mesh offering, providing unified high-speed connectivity in their homes.

According to information found on the Smart Consumer website, the Jio Wi-Fi Mesh router is priced at Rs. 2,499 and features the Jio logo on top. It also includes indicators to display the status of Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity. The Smart Consumer website indicates that the Jio Wi-Fi Mesh router is available nationwide, although there is no official confirmation on the Jio website.

Gadgets 360 has contacted Jio for clarification regarding the launch of the Wi-Fi Mesh router and will provide updates once a response is received.

The appearance of the Jio Wi-Fi Mesh router is not the only hint of Jio’s mesh service launch in India. Jio has mentioned its mesh network technology on the JioFiber website, offering “the best Jio WiFi Mesh experience in every room of your home with JioWiFiMesh service.” Additionally, a video showcasing Jio’s mesh service experience has been available on YouTube since September of the previous year.

Similar to Jio, Airtel has also introduced its mesh technology called “Airtel Xstream Fiber Mesh.” Airtel has partnered with Linksys to offer a mesh system with three nodes designed to cover an area of 3,500 square feet. Airtel users can access the mesh system by subscribing to its Rs. 24,999 annual rental plans, which include the mesh system bundled with their broadband network.
